Visitor Policy

 

 

Our setting has implemented a Visitor Policy in accordance with the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage and the Childcare Register.

By adhering to these guidelines, we maintain a secure environment that prioritises the safety and welfare of our children, staff, and visitors.

 

The policy includes the following guidelines:

 

Verification of Visitor Identity

·        We ensure the identity of all visitors by requesting to see their ID badge and/or making a phone call to confirm their identity.

·        If we are not fully satisfied with the verification process, we reserve the right to refuse entry to the visitor.

 

Visitor's Record

·        We ask all visitors to sign our Visitor's Record, which includes the following information:

 

Date and time of arrival.

Full name of the visitor.

Time of departure.

Visitor's signature.

 

Supervision of Visitors

·        All visitors are required to be supervised at all times while visiting our setting to ensure the safety and well-being of our children.

 

DBS Checks for Visitors

·        Depending on the frequency and purpose of their visits, we consider whether visitors should undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. This additional measure is taken to ensure the safeguarding and protection of our children.
